Project progress and finishes

It has been a month since I last posted progress on the basement clutter.  A lot has been accomplished, you will have to take my word for it.  To the untrained eye some areas look like the same ole, same old--lol

entry hall- area to hang the helmets.  I have been wanting to start and finish this project for awhile. 

A lot of the embellishments are from family and friends junk drawers--lol

For my B-day I treated myself to a couple of little somethings from Hobby Lobby.  Now I have a spot for mail and keys!

This is all that is left of the fabric that needs moved.  So close to done that I do a happy dance everything I pass by.

The wood shelf are attached to the wall.  Just need to keep sorting stuff and filling shelves.

Only about another half dozen boxes to go through.

I actually have uncluttered floor in the sewing room.  No more letting overflow escape into adjoining rooms!

Glass is from Connie's stash.  She gave me a piece of kiln melted scrap glass that had broken.  Karlee and I thought it looked like sea glass and decided to make a beach inspired piece for Kelly.  We used a sand color grout and added sea shells to the vase.

 Breely and Karlee each made a smaller plate to use as coasters.  We added a beach theme figurine to finish out the present..   It is always fun to get creative with the kids.  No expectations, just imagination.

I would say this one is a success!

3 kiddos and misc lamp parts

To make a short story long..... I needed a shorter rod to 'fix' a lamp I was working on.  It is cheaper to purchase a lamp from the thrift shop than to buy the part I needed.
Then the question is what do you do with the extra lamp parts?

Make Yard ART!!  

Lane, Derik and Karlee helped me level and stack the glass.  We hammered a metal rod into the ground so this beauty doesn't tip over.  We also used up a tube of clear caulking to weather proof it.

I can see a couple of more spring/summer Yard ART projects in our future--lol
