Andrew asked for curtains in the kid's room

He said he likes fish, I had a half yard and added the solid to the top.  We then decided it needed something else. so.......we did a google clip art search for ideas.  A boy catching a large fish seemed like a good idea to try.  I have been adding 'fish' pillow parts to kid quilts- now this one gets to be on a curtain..

The piece of scrap I used for the boat is just so cute!  The string is several small pieces knotted together.  Then I chicken tracked sewed it all down.  I left the knots 'free'  Kinda looks like I  just tack-tied it on.  Wonder how long we can keep this hanging before someone thinks it need to be quilted?

Stained Glass project- Trout?

This is a pattern I picked up in OKC when I purchased the Craig's List glass.

My 6 yr old Granddaughter, Karlee picked out the colors.  I still have a lot to do before I can gift this 'catch'.

Even Strained Glass fish need a good cleaning.  This one needs waxed too!!
