Surprised myself by working on the dog house. I think this has been my favorite part so far. Maybe because I put it off for so long. Maybe because I get to free hand cut the bricks for the side wall.
Fingers crossed it will look better when I take the tape off. I have several other pieces to construct before I can do the leaves and grass. Still scratching my head on how to construct the dog house walls.
So hubby asked for a couple. I threw a couple together last night. Then I had him bring my totes from the fabric room. I am listening to a good audio book and hope toliet up as many as possible. I will write my directions when I am done sewing and ready to pass sets along.
Pictures are in reverse order. I was troubled over how to hide the large cracks. I considered constructing a vine or tree branch etc.. finally saw it just right and thought of a dog house. The lines are not perfect but close enough. I narrowed the roof a bit. The outer crack will be a vine to cross the top right to left. The shingles are melted bottle bottoms. I love them! Not sure how to do the walls but will probably have more flowers and tall grass on the right corner to clean that sight line us a bit. Nice thing about how I work is I am just as surprised at the results as everyone else. Lol
